The fantastic new Municipal Sakes made
by Municipal sake/wine maker Matt Froude, in Shiga, Japan are now in
Australia and available for purchase. Both the Love Mountain(Junmai
Daiginjo) and Snow Mountain (Kimoto) are exceptionally high quality
examples of Japanese sake.
Municipal was established by Matt Froude a boutique wine and sake
maker,
passionate about bringing you unique wines and sakes that offer a sense of
place, time and variety. Matt was inspired to create Municipal so you can experience
elegant, varietal, food friendly wines and sake.
Matt has travelled far and wide to gain inspiration and expertise for his
offering which is produced in the cool climate of Victoria’s Strathbogie
Ranges and in Shiga prefecture in Japan.
Matt first started producing wines under the Municipal label in 2014 with
his Whitegate Tempranillo and Shiraz. His plan is to bring wine and sake
to the people by opening an urban ("Municipal") winery/brewery and cellar
door in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs when finances permit.
This website provides detailed tasting notes and an online store for
purchases of my small batch wines and sakes.
